✓ Parents deserve a voice in the instructional methods, content, and practices of their children. Transparency in schools is critical, and misguided policies like 443 must be amended.

✓ School choice would embolden parents with the tools necessary to make the best decision on the right style of education for their children. We support promoting public, charter, trade, private, and homeschooling to meet the individual needs of the child.

✓ FCPS spends $1 billion a year on education, and the Maryland Blueprint for Education still does not address needs of the Students. Funds are spent on unnecessary programs and software that teachers are not asking for and do not need. Central office continues to grow with more bureaucracy, while individual teachers are lacking supplies and adequate pay.

✓ 70% of FCPS students cannot pass a math proficiency exam prior to graduation. We believe in instilling academic rigor and focusing on student achievement and success. We support the classical models of education, and eliminating the classroom of distraction so that the Students can focus on learning.
